To the heralds of the East, as well as our counterparts in foreign lands and those interested in learning the trade, greetings from Mathghamhain Ua Ruadháin, Elmet education herald.
Please join me for an online heralds’ chat and OSCAR commentary session on Saturday, November 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Eastern. As with previous sessions, this is open to everyone, but is particularly aimed at beginner to intermediate book heralds who don’t yet feel confident about doing OSCAR commentary on their own.
We’ll read through names and armory together in OSCAR, checking documentation, looking for conflicts, and seeing if we can provide any other feedback on the most-recent East Kingdom Internal Letter of Intent. (In addition to helping the kingdom’s submissions team, this process is also a great way to train yourself to find problems in name or armory forms before mailing them in.)
We’ll also have time for general discussion, so please share something interesting you learned recently, show off a cool project you’ve been working on, or ask any heraldic questions you’ve been wondering about and we’ll try to get them answered.
